Simplicity At Its Best

The Latest: Maverick has ceased its operations as of January 2012. But rest assured that the famous suspension design which made Maverick a rock star in the mountain bike world will live on because the brand and design licenses have gone back to Paul Turner, who was the brain behind Maverick suspension. For now we just have to wait for Paul to reveal his new plans for the brand. And for us being a long-standing dealer for Maverick Bicycles, we have the expertise and spare parts for all your Maverick bike and suspension service needs. Please call us or bring your bike in.

Maverick did not set out to build mountain bikes for the masses. Since 1999 Maverick has stayed on course with pure and straightforward desire to design and build the kind of bike they'd like to ride in the hills above Boulder.

The end products are nothing short of amazement. Maverick makes bikes that climb like monsters and descend like demons. They changed the way people think about long travel bikes. Maverick's exclusive technologies such as MonoLink frame design, integrated shock body and inverted fork design make them stand out from the crowd. Our shop racer Scott has been riding his Maverick for years and he loves the bike for its versatility, efficienty and simplicity. Enough said. We encourage you to demo a Maverick to feel the difference for yourself.

Monolink Technology

Monolink Technology MonoLink means that when you are out there enjoying a ride, less can go wrong and more can go right. As the bump strikes the wheel, physics says that the wheel will move up and back (the direction the bump came from). Understand that, and you understand MonoLink! That's what it's all about: Creating a natural wheel path for the rear wheel to travel that naturally efficiently absorbs the forces exerted on the bike. When you achieve that, your bike rolls through bumps effortlessly, and you maintain all your forward momentum. Our wheel path is so special, it's patented. You just can't get this feature, or its benefits, with any other system.

Parallel Path Technology

Parallel Path Technology The patented design of MonoLink and placement of its pivots results in a rear wheel path that almost parallels the travel of the fork. It creates a super-stable and efficient ride feel that's unique to Maverick. While climbing technical stuff, the rear wheel moves up, back and out of the way, effectively digging the tire into the ground. When descending, the wheel moves the same way, similar to how your legs move up and back you when you are descending stairs or skiing downhill. And because the front and rear work together, the result is a very balanced, fluid ride that you just have to feel to understand. Front and rear working together. Imagine that.

Inverted Fork Design

Inverted Fork Design The advantages to inverted fork design are many:

  • Gravity is keeping the lubricity of your fork at a maximum. Oil is always being forced onto the seals and sliders by gravity, resulting in a smoother fork, all of the time.
  • The stanchions are not up by the tire getting mud, dirt and rocks flicked at them all the time. Since the integrity of the fork relies on the stanchions sliding through the seals without leaking, it definitely makes sense to position them out of harm's way.
  • Allows us to use rock-solid uppers, which suspend the weight better and allow the wheel to be more active in the bumps.
  • By placing the larger tubes at the highest-stress part of the fork, you get better fore, aft, and lateral stiffness.
  • Our design is light. In fact, the DUC32 is the lightest 6” travel fork around (3.9lbs).

Maverick Durance Full Suspension MTB

Maverick Durance Full Suspension MTB

BMC Trailfox is an all-mountain bike in the purest form. The frame has been reworked with steeper seat angle and optimized steering angle to assist in the climb. Riders will appreciate the 150mm travel range – especially with the FOX TALAS fork with tapered steerer and a 15 millimeter thru axle providing the ultimate in ride stability. No mountain is too steep and no descent too long for this wild beast!

Maverick ML8 Full Suspension MTB

Maverick ML8 Full Suspension MTB

You can feel the lineage from the original ML7, but the ML8 offers an unmatched 6.5-inches of travel in a sub-30-pound bike. The combination of its monocoque frame, Monolink suspension design, integrated rear shock, and the perfectly matched DUC32 fork give the ML8 an exclusive position in the mountain bike world...a light but very tough trail bike that climbs just as proficiently as it descends.

Technology Highlights

MonoLink:

The heart of all Maverick frames is the MonoLink. This patented link houses the bottom bracket and connects the front triangle to the rear, resulting in the most efficient wheel path that a bicycle can have.

Paralle Path Technology:

The patented design of the MonoLink and placement of the pivots results in a rear wheel path that follows almost symetrically the travel of the fork. The effect is a super-stable and efficient ride.

Minimal Chain Growth:

Another benefit of the MonoLink is that the bottom bracket follows the movement of the rear axle to a certain degree, resulting in minimal chain growth and minimal pedal feedback.

Integrated Shock Body:

All Maverick shocks are integrated into the rear triangle by design. Having the shock be a structural member is what makes the Maverick frame stiffer than other bikes on the market.
