Style : Passion : Precision
BMC bike's unmistakable look paired with superb technological solutions not only make their bicycles unique, but also propel BMC to be one of the most highly regarded bicycle manufacturers in the world. Their passion for building the highest quality products is clearly demonstrated in the details of each bike. Riding is believing.
Situated in the Swiss Precision Valley among world-renowned watchmakers, precision defines the philosophy of absolute innovation and the manner in which BMC converts its ideas into reality. With the highest degree of precision engineering BMC is known for, BMC bikes provide confidence and great riding experience for the riders.
Needless to say their hard work really paid off this year. BMC's Racing Team member Cadel Evans made history and won the 2011 Tour de France in July. It's a true testament to BMC's prowess in engineering and advanced technology that lead to their success. The same innovations, philosophy and level of commitment are more so applied to their line of mountain bikes which make Topanga Creek Bicycles extremely excited about the future that BMC holds and our commitments to each other. Biggest congratulations to Cadel Evans and the entire BMC Racing Team for the amazing achievements!
Cutting-Edge Frame Construction
At BMC, every frame is designed using the most advanced computer technology such as FEM to analyze every square inch of the tubing and every weld to ensure maximum force distribution and strength. The Swiss turn what started as wild concepts into amazing working machines with precision fit for only the most discriminating individuals.
Main features:
- Skeleton Concept
The iSC (integrated skeleton concept) is BMC's innovative and now legendary trademark. Cleverly selected skeletal reinforcement elements combined with the special tube profiles, each frame achieves an optimum ratio of stiffness and weight.
- Core Stiffness
BMC builds the bottom bracket to its maximum width for each model. The tube designs and profiles of the seat tube, down tube and chain stays are also optimized to obtain the best bonded and welded joints. The result is maximum lateral stiffness and strength where it really counts.
- System Integration
BMC goes to a lot of trouble to create made-to-measure solutions for key elements such as the seatpost and fork, or the disk brake fitting and cable housing. These fine-tuning and integration of the entire frame system provide added value not just in terms of the technology, but also even better overall performance.
Advanced Pivot System (APS)
An ideal suspension system converts all the rider's energy into propulsion while the
shock system absorbs the impacts regardless of the effects of acceleration. By carefully
calculating the position of the pivotal points on the APS rear suspension, BMC can achieve
this aim with great precision.
When accelerating, an inertial force is generated which attempts to compress the shock system. With APS, the virtual pivotal point is positioned so that the chain tension compensates for this effect. All the pedal power is used for propulsion without any loss of energy in the suspension. The shock system ensures optimum traction and therefore ensures that power is transferred to the ground. The impacts are absorbed by the shock system providing excellent comfort for the rider. The Advanced Pivot System offers the rider the perfect combination of efficiency, traction and comfort.
Unsurpassed R & D + Rigorous Testing
BMC bikes have a unique design. It's the result of years of research & development combined with a process that involves constant user feedback from laboratory and field testing. BMC's expert knowledge of the materials and resources helps to create unique tube designs that can handle the harshest load and give the bike its unmistakable character. By paying huge amount of attention to the finest details using the latest computer simulation technology, BMC optimizes critical components with respect to weight and stiffness to provide for the ultimate in performance.

BMC Speedfox SF03 Full Suspension MTB
A powerful design and a frame with stunning technical features and an outstanding overall weight make Speedfox SF03 stand out from the rest. The efficient chassis with a 120 mm travel provides comfort and safety – so that uphills are just as much fun as downhills.
Technology Highlights
Triple-butted tube set made of a 6000 alloy. Triple-butted means that the tube has three different wall thicknesses for maximum stiffness and weight control.
Direct assembly of the brake cylinder at the frame without adapter.
Suspension system that ensures comfort, unsurpassed traction and efficient power transmission in any biking situation.
Tube junctions perfectly tailored to the distribution of forces. Cleverly selected skeletal reinforcement elements at the nodal points and the spread of the top tube distribute the impacting forces perfectly.
