Surly Long Haul Trucker
We stock one of the most highly praised touring bikes available - the Surly Long Haul Trucker. Its steel frame tubing, relaxed geometry, long wheelbase, wide range gearing along with abundance of eyelets meet all the criteria of a great touring bike. What makes the Surly Long Haul Truck truly unique and legendary is in the details - extra spare spokes mounted on the chainstay and low bottom bracket position for stability are two examples that only a true touring aficionado can appreciate. Surly Disc Trucker
When you're carrying a full load on your Surly LHT and are headed for a mountainous terrain, you want the additional braking power on tap when you need it. The Surly Disc Trucker offers you just that. It's a Long Haul Trucker with 51mm IS caliper mounts instead of rim brake mounts with a newly designed fork. And no detail was too small when designing the Disc Trucker. The caliper mount is placed between chain and seatstays to give you plenty of clearance for various rack and fender options. The components were chosen for their reliability as well. Available in frames and complete bikes.
Surly Cross Check
Surly Cross Check is a cyclocross bike by design but its versatility and newly added rack braze-ons on the fork make it a great contender for light touring. The Cross Check has a geometry that's closer to a traditional road bike so the shorter wheelbase is not as ideal for mounting oversized panniers for long trips. But its snappy handling and knobby tires give the Cross Check additional abilities such as a part-time urban commuter or a weekend off-roader. The Cross Check is the ultimate jack of all trades.
How About Some Off-road Touring?
For those who seek out off-road adventures and want to explore roads that are less traveled, Salsa offers a couple of unique options for just that.
Salsa Fargo
If off-road touring is on your agenda, Salsa Fargo is the bike for you. It rides on a mountain bike frame fitted with a drop handlebar similar to that found on a road bike. It's then paired with a set of rollover-anything 29-inch wheels and you end up with a beast of a bike that can go any distance, off road.
Salsa Fargo has stirred up quite a buzz since its introduction a few years ago. It is a very capable bike that rides and handles extremely well in the dirt. One of our customers actually raced his Fargo in a 12-hour mountain bike race. This year the Fargo is available in multiple trims and you can get the frame in Titanium as well. Salsa Vaya
The Vaya is Salsa's road adventure bike. Its standard disc brakes and beefy tires make it just as capable in gravel. With plenty of braze-ons available, Vaya can easily be fitted with fenders and racks for touring. CroMoly frame helps to soak up road bumps while the stable geometry provides the confidence when touring with a full load. Also available in Titanium which provides the finest ride quality: a delectable mix of low weight, stiffness, and vibration damping.
