It was a gorgeous weekend in Monterey when we closed the shop for two days to participate in this year's
Sea Otter Classic races. Sea Otter Classic is the largest consumer bicycling event in North America attracting over
50,000 people. There were races for all classes and ages, Gran Fondos, fun activities, and an outdoor Expo with hundreds of
manufacturers and vendors showing off the latest bikes and accessories. We spent 3 days camping, racing, riding,
BBQing, making friends, relaxing by the campfire, and having the greatest time soaking it all in. Can't wait to go back next year!

Our fun weekly Saturday mountain bike ride starts at 8:00 a.m. and it's for people of all skill levels.
We leave from the shop for Topanga State Park and the ride is about 2 to 2.5 hours long.
Just show up with your bike and gear, have some fun in the dirt, and then hang out to meet new people afterwards.
We're truly happy to have met and make friends with some of the most wonderful people on these rides.

There's a good reason why BMC has waited this long to introduce us their first 29er bikes - hardtail Teamelite TE29

Voodoo is a well-respected boutique bike manufacturer with a dedicated following since its inception 17 years ago.
We love their small brand philosophy with focus on quality and reliability for everyday riders. The Zobop is their new
all-mountain 5.5" suspension frame specially designed for long climbs and steep descents. With its rigid and fully active

wider rims and a frame to accommodate them. So they pop the Big Fat Larry 4.7" tire on the 100mm-wide

We received our Boo 29er mountain bike frame and it is quite amazing. Yes, bamboo for a mountain bike.
Boo's true advantage is in bamboo's special ride
properties. The bamboo is able to flex very slightly over trail chatter, gravel, and washboard - smoothing the ride and
letting you hammer in the saddle all day with less fatigue and more speed. Boo frame is constructed with specially
treated and hand selected dendrocalamus strictus bamboo tubing and high-modulus carbon wrapped tube-to-tube. All
aspects of the frame have been beefed up to weather the elements, including thicker tube walls all around and

The 2012 National Bike Summit took place between March 20 and 22 in Washington D.C. to help defend critical
funding programs to make America more bicycle friendly for both mountain and road enthusiasts. Our own Chris Kelly
participated in this very important advocacy event that drew cyclists from across the country to meet with
influential lawmakers in Congress to promote safer cycling. Due to the efforts at past Summits, League of American Bicyclist
has established the Senate Bike Caucus and encouraged more than 200 House members to join Congressional Bike Caucus.

We welcome Lucas Jackson, the proud son of Steve and Heather Jackson, to become the newest and youngest member

scratch starting with a pair of hubs from highly sought-after companies such as Chris King and White Industries.
Using Phil Wood Spoke Cutting Machine, we can cut and thread each spoke to any length based on wheel and hub
combination. It's then a true balancing act to get each wheel complete round, dished and true to yield a final
product that's light-weight, strong, precise and race-ready. Reduced rotational weight means you'll work less
with every pedal stroke, thus noticeable gain in efficiency and power.
